Rental in Poland
Reservations
Reservations are made according to the price list of the required car category, but not a specific car make or model (see ACRISS CODE)
Rental conditions
Renter or driver(s) named in the contract must be in possession of a valid driving licence issued at least one/two years before the rental, valid ID or passport and must accept the General Rental Conditions
Drivers age
Driver must be at least 21 years old to rent an economy or compact size car, 23 years old for intermediate and standard category and at least 25 years old for the full size or minibus category. Additional "young driver" be applied if the driver is under 25 (8 EUR nett / per day, max. 120 EUR / rental)
Additional driver
In case of more than 1 person authorized to drive the rented vehicle, an additional charge of 11 euro net for each additional driver per rental will be charged.
Rental agreement
The rental duration is calculated on the basis of 24 hours' periods and starts after the Renter is given the car keys. If the period is exceeded by more than 30 minutes, another full day will be charged.
The maximum rental duration is 30 days. A provisional invoice will be issued for rentals exceeding that period. The final invoice will be issued after the car is given back to Europcar by the Renter.
Methods of payment:
Credit card
A valid credit card (with embossed digits) must be presented at the time of rental. Europcar does not accept 'Electron' types of cards nor debit cards.The card will be pre-authorised for the amount covering estimated car rental and other costs (excess, refuelling charge, rental extension, etc.) The customer's credit card will be charged with the actual amount at the end of the rental.
Bank transfer
In case of a payment done by money transfer, the rental must be preceded by an order specifying the following:
car quantity and the required category
date, time and the place of delivery
date, time and the place of collection
rental cost payment guarantee within the 7 days after receiving the invoice. Such order should be signed by a person authorized to contract financial duties. The order must be accompanied by documents such as Registry number (KRS), tax identification number (NIP) and statistical number (Regon). The rental will take place after the payment by money transfer is accepted by the Legal Department of Europcar.
One way rentals
There is no extra charge for returning the car at any Europcar station in Poland different from the rental station.
There is a possibility to return the car outside polish borders (check at the time of reservation)
Travel Outside The Borders Of Poland
It is the Renter's duty to notify Europcar about every plan of leaving the territory of Poland with the rented car each time separately.
It is not permitted to enter the following countries with the rented vehicle: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, Rumania, Serbia and Monte Negro, Ukraine.
Fuel
Refueling is not included in the car rental costs. The cars are delivered with full tanks and should be given back with the same amount of fuel. Otherwise the Renter will be charged with the refueling costs of 1,80 EUR per 1 liter of missing fuel.
Additional charges
Airport fee: 12% of net basic rate
After hours service*: 16 EUR net / rental
Winter tyres fee (from 15 November till 31 March): all cars are equipped with winter tyres. The charge is automatically added to the rental cost.
Delivery / collection*:
within city limits 15 EUR nett / rental
Outsite city limits 15 EUR nett / rental + 0,8 EUR nett / per km
Tax: 22%
